As many of you know, I live in the South and our summers are hot and humid! To stay cool in the hot and humid weather, it is essential to wear clothes made of natural fabrics that breathe easily so you stay cool. The best natural fabrics to wear are linen, cotton and tencel. In the summer, you’ll find me wearing lots of linen, cotton and tencel clothes!

They have many styles to choose from, whether you are looking for wardrobe staples in versatile neutrals or pieces with lovely, bright colors and patterns. I have added several pieces from Talbots to my closet over the years and include their pieces often in my outfits. I love shopping at Talbots, both in the store and online!

For size reference: My height is 5’9″ and my weight is approximately 180 lbs. I have an hourglass figure and am mid-size. For tops, I typically wear a size Large (12), depending on the brand and fit of the top. For bottoms, my usual size is a 12, waist 31; a 10-inch high rise fits my waist the best and a 28 inch inseam falls at my ankle, 30 inch inseam is full-length on me. My shoe size is 9 medium or 40EU.
The first dress is the Nantucket Slub Sleeveless Maxi Dress (wearing a size 12). I absolutely love this dress! This sleeveless maxi dress is made from a slub fabric in 100% cotton. It is a figure-friendly fit with a flare silhouette. The fabric is naturally wrinkle resistant and easy to wear. It has a tie waist, a tiered bottom and open stitching detail around the neckline, arms and skirt. I’m wearing this dress casually with sandals, but you can also dress it up with heels. I wore this dress to church this past Sunday and received several compliments on it!
You may have seen these Eva Speckled Canvas Sandals (wearing size 9, fits true to size) on my previous Talbots post. The sandal body is all leather and have a memory foam footbed for comfort. The cutout design on the top of the sandal gives them an elevated look! Don’t forget your eye protection in the summer! These Daphne Tortoiseshell Sunglasses have 100% UVA/UVB Protection and the brown tortoise color will coordinate with all your outfits!
The jewelry I’m wearing is the Seaside Treasures Necklace and Seabrook Bracelet. I’m looking forward to styling these pieces in many outfits this summer! The necklace is 20″ in length and is adjustable. The bracelet is a lovely gold tone and the pearl accent is lovely.

I added a pair of sandal heels, clutch, Seaside Treasures Necklace, Seabrook Bracelet and Daphne Tortoiseshell Sunglasses to complete the outfit.
This Sleeveless Linen Shirtdress in “Spring Moss” (size Large) is the perfect versatile summer dress! It is an elevated casual dress that is a lovely light olive green color. It is made of 100% linen has a sleek shirt collar and buttoned half-placket. I look forward to wearing this dress all summer as an easy to wear, polished outfit. This Embroidered Flare Straw Tote is at Talbots too! This tote is the perfect size! It has an interior zip pocket, is lined and you can carry a lot in this tote. It is very lightweight and is versatile too. You can carry it as a bag styled with your outfit or use it as a beach bag and carry it to the beach!
I am praying for you! I have been through a divorce too and it brings alot of emotions but one day at a time will get you through. Seek out your friends and get out with hobbies or adventures. Just sitting at home alone is not the best solution!

However I find you very relatable and real. I too went thru a divorce and at the time it was the most devastating period in my life . You too will recover and be happy again !
